PH43 Guldhøj Stool in Teak by Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup Stolefabrik, Denmark

In 1957 Poul started his reinterpretation of the “Guldhøj Chair”:  excavated from a Nordic Bronze Age burial mound in Vamdrup. He streamlined and updated it and this Scandinavian Modern design classic went into production in 1960.

All Original, one vintage repair;

solid teak, shaped, organic roundings; one vertical has been repaired, two screws are visible, see photos;

thick saddle leather seat stained black, now anthracite or dark grey, attached with the loop with dowel system, no glue or mechanical fasteners;

folding, folds for compact storage/shipping, leather is to stiff to fully collapse;
