“A universal four legged chair with armrests. The frame of the chair is nickel-plated and continues around the back to form a handy handgrip. The seat and back are upholstered beech; with plastic armrests.”

This is Gispen’s work horse, in production for decades, usable in any situation: home, office, work. Here we have the end of the run, with plastic armrests and plastic edging on the seat (where it would wear first).

matt nickel chromed shaped/bent frame, handle and legs

adjustable/levelling feet

upholstery fabric in good condition

labeled underneath: CAR projectmeubelen Katwijk, feb 1994; this quirky dutch manufacturer also furnished offices; it is very unlikely that they made knock-off Gispen chairs
