This is a classic design by Karl Nothhelfer from the mid-fifties, produced well into the this century by Casala. CaSaLa was founded in 1917 by CArl SAsse in LAuenau Germany. Ours were made in the mid to late nineties, abet a slightly simplified and updated version, still sturdy, solid and stylish as ever. There is an amount of wear to the contact surfaces (desk top, seat and back); if you paint these surfaces the chair/desk looks fresh, almost new.
