Jan Marten (J.M.) Kleman & Zoon: they made super fancy expensive quality brass measuring devices in the 19th century, including Sextants and Leveling Compass. Started in 1781 they received the “Royal” title in 1808, as imprinted on our device: “Kon. inst.makers Amst.” = Koninklijk Instrumentmakers = Royal Instrument Makers;
