The S19 is a beautiful elegant school chair. It was altered into the S22, which is stacking. The legs stick-out awkwardly but you gain functionality, especially important for schools. This was then altered again in the 70’s, this time for for manufacturing simplicity, with a red tube frame. Additionally in the 1980s they made a heavy-duty version with a thick pipe frame, of which there is also a child’s version. So here a later-model S22 chair, the same design concept and the same elegant pagholz seat but with a modern red base.
