Panton Chair by Verner Panton, 1967
This was the first ever fiberglass chair made in one piece.
This is an original chair, heavy and sturdy, not a flimsy reproduction. Back in the day fiberglass was new and they hadn’t worked out how to get the smooth high gloss finish we know and love today. This ment that all of the original production had to be painted over to get the effect the designer was trying to achieve.
