Lundia was created in 1949, when the Swedish designer Harald Lundqvist managed to make the Dutch furniture makers Heinen and Colebrander enthusiastic about his shelving units and storage systems, based on his patented wood-tenon connection. In the same year, production of Lundia’s flexible cabinet system was started in Varsseveld in the Achterhoek region. Lundia will later grow into one of the largest producers of wooden furniture in the Netherlands.” -text: Lundia.
