This has a clear nautical theme, it was inspired by and named after the Royal Marine Ship Karel Doorman, the only Dutch aircraft carrier; which was named after the 19th century Admiral Karel Doorman;

chrome tube frame shaped and detailed like a boat railing;  

black and white Houndstooth duotone textile pattern, also referred to as two-tone broken check; one small hole in the seat, see photo;

thick round black leather arm or back rest;

lounge sofa, also ideal as couch or chair;

Dutch Design, this is in the permanent collection of the Central Museum Utrecht!
