Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) was a son of architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld.

His designs attracted the attention of the Gispen company,

where he was involved in the design of office furniture from 1953 to 1956.

He later expanded Gispen’s range with home furniture and lamps.

Rietveld looked for the perfect balance between functionality and solid design in his designs.
