X: on the very first bases the legs crossed underneath the seat, this was replaced in 1954 with the H cross that we see here

seat/shell has been reglued to the shock mounts

zinc bright plated or chrome tube frame / tubular undercarriage

not labeled, they do have a “V” cast in; only Herman Miller made the fiberglass shells; starting in 1959 Herman Miller cast their name into the seat bottoms

this shell shape is referred to as the “plastic” chair
