Antique 19th Century Chinese (salon) table, large

This is very old, we think maybe even nineteenth century.  It has had a long life of intense usage, and has had multiple repairs.

It has a wonderful distressed patina which can only be achieved through extensive use, you can’t find this anymore. Probably  elm, maybe walnut. Traces of red paint on the legs.

There is a red wax seal on one of the legs; if this is of significance we don’t know, it’s more likely the result of a drunken party.
