Amanta Modular Couch Mario Bellini C&B Italia lavender

Amanta Modular Couch Element by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia (now B&B) in dusty lavender corduroy.

This has been recently reupholstered in this dusty lavender/heather/mauve corduroy, an easy-clean fabric. There are some spots visible. The seats are soft and comfortable.

A sectional couch where each section is made of three stacking cushions in a plastic holder. Who would think of such a thing, an Italian architect of course! Internationally acclaimed Mario Bellini was awarded the “compasso d’oro” in 1970 for this design.

Imprinted underneath in relief print, and the original manufacturer’s fabric label has been retained on the seat cushions;

Modular system, the seating elements could be joined together via plastic connecting straps, which unfortunately have been lost
